the way of mountaineering

if you buried your brother in the ground, mess the spot by your feet; thy brother is earth’s dream. in stones and greens, the earth dreams of him.

looking upon the waters, if you beheld a pair of eyes, mess the waters. waters are earth’s eyes; let them follow your steps as you tread.

if you heard a sound up in the air, start a murmuring quick. let not the sound remain in your ears. let the air be able to bring new songs to your ears.

if you felt a burn in your heart, turn your head quick to the sun. the sun colors everything. let your heart be engaged in new colors all the time.
