Bite is an Australian startup based in Brisbane. Our first step is to build a thoughtful library of verified public-domain books and books released under appropriate Creative Commons licences. Every work must be suitable for distribution through Bite and presented with the attribution its licence requires.
From that foundation, our mission is to expand by engaging publishers, rights holders, and other business-to-business content providers. We want to help their work reach individual readers while creating negotiated pathways to organisations and bulk content buyers.
Built around ownership
The content stays theirs.
Content providers retain ownership and the underlying rights to their work. A provider subscribes to publish and distribute that content through Bite, granting the platform distribution rights—not ownership of the content itself.
Providers may also choose to negotiate wider distribution through Bite, making their content available to approved organisations and other bulk buyers. Those arrangements remain explicit, optional, and agreed with the rights holder.
