poetry · Item 40Thy Naked Flame of Heart that I Long
At the corner of my right ear Nests a bird impregnated with poetry She speaks a rich language of myriad signs Which I decipher frantically as is sung The best always comes unintentionally As all the bird's words are a twofold prophecy But every word also carries a curse intrinsically The curse protects its disintegration into fallacy Poet's job is to always hold both sides of argument Deciphering, then to blend elements of contradiction Every word of truth is juxtaposition of opposites Well woven, it does kindle a flame naked in thy heart Ah... Did I just forget? Today and yesterday and all these yesteryears It was thy naked flame of heart that I longed
