Author
Salim Ghazi Saeedi
Salim Ghazi Saeedi is an Iranian poet, writer, composer, and guitarist who was born in Tehran in 1981 and is based in Brisbane. He writes in both Farsi and English. Abstract, philosophical, and at times sermon-like, his poetry is deeply inward. He describes writing during moments of despair, fear, or paralysis as a form of self-treatment and a path back to wellbeing.
His poetry grows from the same instinctive creative space as his musicianship. A self-taught guitarist, composer, and producer, he created music with the band Arashk before releasing solo concept albums spanning art rock, progressive rock, jazz fusion, and experimental music.
